What we service, maintain and install

Across fire, security and life-safety disciplines — on systems we installed and on systems we didn't.

FIRE & LIFE SAFETY

Fire detection, alarm and protection

Fire systems are the part of your building that has to work on the worst day. We service them to the recognised standards and tell you honestly when something is past saving.

Standards we work to

Servicing and certification carried out in line with the applicable British Standards, with written records left on site every visit.

  • BS 5839-1 — fire detection and alarm
  • BS 5266-1 — emergency lighting
  • BS 5306-3 — extinguisher maintenance
  • BS 7273-4 — fire interface to door systems

Service frequency

We set the visit frequency against the standard and your fire risk assessment, not against what is convenient to sell.

  • Fire alarm — typically two visits per year
  • Emergency lighting — monthly function, annual duration
  • Extinguishers — annual basic service
  • Additional visits where the risk requires it

What you get each visit

A signed service report, log book entry and a clear statement of the system status when we leave site.

  • Written service report and certificate
  • Log book completed on site
  • Defects listed with priority
  • Quotation for any remedial work
SECURITY SYSTEMS

CCTV, intruder alarms and access control

Security systems fail quietly. A camera that stopped recording three months ago looks exactly like one that is working — until you need the footage.

CCTV done properly

Cameras placed against a written operational requirement, so each one is capable of the job it is there to do — detect, recognise or identify.

  • Operational requirement agreed before install
  • Retention period verified against your policy
  • Time synchronisation checked at every visit
  • Export tested so footage is usable as evidence
  • Privacy masking and data protection signage

Access control that stays safe

Every controlled door is checked for free egress and proven to release on fire alarm — the two things that matter most and get missed most often.

  • Free egress proven on every door, every visit
  • Fire alarm release tested door by door
  • Break-glass units tested and resealed
  • Credential list reviewed, leavers removed
  • System backup taken and handed to you
SPECIALIST SYSTEMS

Healthcare, care and public buildings

Systems where the people relying on them may not be able to raise the alarm any other way.

INSTALLATION & PROJECTS

New systems, upgrades and rollouts

Alongside maintenance we take on installation and upgrade projects — from a handful of extra cameras to a complete system replacement across multiple sites.

New installations

Complete new fire alarm, CCTV, access control and intruder systems, designed, installed and commissioned with full documentation.

Replacement & upgrade

Obsolete panels, unsupported recorders and systems that can no longer be repaired — replaced with a planned changeover, not an emergency.

Expansion

Extra cameras, additional controlled doors, extra detection where the layout has changed. Priced per item so you can phase it.

Site refurbishments

Working alongside your contractors during fit-outs and refurbishments so the systems are right when the building reopens.

System migration

Moving from one platform to another with the minimum time out of service, and a proven system at the end.

Multi-site rollouts

Standardised installation across every site so all your premises work the same way and your staff only learn one system.

Open protocol wherever practical. Where a suitable open-protocol product exists, we will specify it. Closed proprietary systems tie you to a single contractor and are the most common reason we find businesses paying over the odds for basic servicing.

Talk to us about your systems

Whether you need a single service visit, a system taking over from another contractor, or a full installation — we will come and look, then tell you plainly what it needs.
